About Karen Kehr:
Karen's background includes experience with a diverse population, from executives to production workers to welfare-to-work groups to self-employed entrepreneurs.  She has worked in manufacturing, retail, service organizations, university settings and non-profits.

Karen received her undergraduate degree in education from Goshen College, and graduate degree with high honors in the masters program for counseling and human services from Indiana University.  She has completed the Basic Certification Training in Critical Incident Stress Management.  She delivered career counseling at the IUSB Career and Placement Services, providing individual and group sessions on choosing a major and job search skills.  She worked in training and development for a 600-employee manufacturing firm creating innovative new training delivery systems.

She served as director of outplacement of a consulting firm, helping hundreds of dislocated employees with resumes, interviews, marketing, research, and salary negotiations.  She has also managed projects for companies to establish new systems and increase capacity to deliver business.

Karen is a member of GEPA (Greater Elkhart Personnel Association), ASTD Michinana (American Society of Training and Development), SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), and a member of Toastmasters International.  She is the 1998 winner of the Area Toastmaster's International speech contest.  She is a frequent guest speaker to numerous local and civic groups.
